Not only providing extensive design services and documentation tools, their work includes Site Analysis, Master Planning, Environmental Strategies, Project Budgeting, Construction Administration and Architectural Interior Design.

With LEED and Passive House training, they have the ability to offer innovative design approaches in planning, building systems and sustainable construction. MMA also offers interior design services allowing the architecture and interior spaces to be fully integrated for a seamless process and final product.

Jennifer Mowery Marsh, AIA

Jennifer has worked on a wide range of projects types in the past providing a broad base of experience to inform the design process and implementation. Residential and small scale projects are her passion though, as she enjoys finding creative and artistic solutions to meet the specific needs of their clients. When starting the firm in 2004, the focus was on providing a high level of service where there is as much listening as there is drawing and owners take comfort in being fully informed and engaged throughout the process. That collaborative nature fosters productive relationships throughout the design & construction process, which when coupled with her design sensibility and professional rigor makes for a beautiful final product.

Brian Marsh, AIA

Brian joined MMA in May of 2013 bringing with him 18 years of experience in residential work. He draws from a vast knowledge of this building type and particularly the client-architect process. Having worked with renowned residential architect Dennis Wedlick for 11 years, he had the opportunity to lead on some of Dennis’s most important commissions including the Stewardship and The Hudson Passive House, the first certified passive house in New York State. Over the years, clients have appreciated his thoroughness, high level of design, construction acumen and an attention to detail. There is a continual rigor with his work whether it’s drawing a exterior wall detail or finding the perfect cabinetry hardware or providing detailed spreadsheets to analyze construction costs.

Architectural

Providing comprehensive architectural services with a focus on residential projects that range from new builds to full renovations of freestanding homes and townhouses. In all their work, a priority is placed on design clarity and refinement that is coupled with inherent functionality and all within an environment that maximizes comfort through its construction methods.

Passive House

Passive Houses are energy-efficient buildings designed and detailed to minimize energy consumption by employing robust continuous insulation, smart airtight construction, and effective ventilation systems. These environmentally conscious homes maintain consistent comfortable temperatures, provide optimal indoor air quality, and present a calm sound insulated environment, all while significantly reducing the need for energy to heat and cool the home.

Interior Design

Throughout the process, interior design is an integral part of the development of the architecture in order to create thoughtful and cohesive environments. Starting with space planning and furniture layouts every design move takes into consideration the user experience and the ultimate impact of the finish materials, lighting solutions, fixture selections, paint schemes, and window treatments.

Master Planning

Understanding the importance of project budgeting and recognizing the opportunity to phase with foresight provides a mindful approach to planning for now and the future. With comprehensive conversations about priorities and client goals along with thorough scope analysis, designs can accommodate current budgetary constraints without limiting future possibilities.

Landscape Design

Dedicated to thoughtful architectural site planning and seamless landscape coordination, ensures a harmonious integration of built structures with their surroundings for an aesthetically pleasing and functional environment. Also working closely with Landscape designers who bring their expertise and collaborative spirit to further enhance the outdoor experience.

Feasibility Studies

Providing insight into architectural possibilities as they relate to the realities of budgeting, scope desires, infrastructure and zoning to empower informed decision-making in project development.
